acne deliver a different kind of collection from the usual, playing with styles, shapes and fabrics for there pre-fall collection.

there are some short skirts with different cuts and layers, all have different fabrics, one with pinstripes and ones made of leather. there are plenty of jackets which means tailoring, a few with pants to match.

most materials are oddly matched, some with prints and others just plain gorgeous, especially the red jacket paired with knitwear and leather.

accessories include boots and chains, belts and see through bags. the collection is modelled by gorgeous newcomer, hedvig palm.

maria bradley, marte mei van haaster, laura kampman, milou van groesen, rosie tapner and others for balenciaga pre-fall 2012

balenciaga headed back to the eighties for there pre-fall collection, with eccentric colours and lots and lots of leathers. i'm not sure how many materials are in this collection, but it definitely looks like a lot, the prints are also all over the place.

i would say the styling is the worst thing about this, it's hard to tell which pieces are nice and which pieces are just plain bad. the shapes are big and boxy as usual, with the tailoring playing a big part in this collection.

the accessories included big earrings, chunky wrist pieces and as usual, boxy bags. it kind of reminds me of the latest spring/summer ad campaign from balenciaga, messy and a little bit odd.

kasia struss for balmain pre-fall 2012

the new balmain has finally come and it looks a lot different from the old collections, thanks to designer olivier rousteing. kasia struss models without the rips and tight jeans that are always ever so present in balmain.

the shapes are different, with boxy jackets and the wider leg pants, there are even some different prints, in this refreshing take on balmain. of course there are some familiarities with the military style jackets and the beautiful embellishments, plus the tight white printed jeans the kasia wears so well.

the fittings look larger than usual with one bomber jacket looking like it could be for a man, not a woman. although i love the old balmain, this one looks much classier.

fur seems to be everywhere this pre-fall season and that is no exception for louis vuitton. frida aasen, xiao wen ju and nyasha matonhodze model the garments for pre-fall, with the perfect vintage vibe.

jackets where featured in most looks, some with fur, some with a military feel and others made of leather. the colour palette was simple yet beautiful, with greens, navy and a pop of yellow.

the tailoring was great, with suit pants and shorts, the dresses where short and long, some with layers and others round in shape. accessories where also present with gorgeous studded berets, bags and sparkling shoes.

kinga rajzak for moschino pre-fall 2012

moschino's pre fall collection brings us tailored jackets, tweed and brick wall pattern prints. some pieces in this collection look like they could be vintage, the fur coats, gloves and shoes all look like they could have came from another era.

there is a mixture between day wear and night wear garments, after seeing the layered dress and speckled shawl, i would say the night wear really shines through. the collection also included feathered headpieces, leather gloves and a few pairs of brilliant shoes.

the brick wall pattern also makes an appearance from the mens collection, a shirt and a jacket and pants.

models are kinga rajzak and another model i can't quite remember the name of.

daphne groeneveld models for the pre-fall collection for roberto cavalli pre-fall 2012. you could have thought that cavalli pasted the clothes over and over on daphne, but no, every shot is different.

the collection focuses on darker colours and tailored jackets, with some fur pieces and excellent details. amidst all the tailoring there are also some great floor length gowns, especially the last in the collection with layers of dark green print.

the accessories are also brilliant, including gloves and leggings which look shimmered with sequins.
