it's the year of the dragon and the i-d pre spring issue is all about celebrating the diversity of beauties in china! one of china's most popular photographers, chen man, photographed 12 different covers for the issue, 8 of those covers being online exclusives. there are 9 newsstand covers in total, with the other 5 being of lara stone, stella tennant, lara mullen and matt ardell, dylan riley and victoria beckham.

other than chen man there are a bevy of other photographers on board including hedi slimane and sølve sundsbø. the chinese covers feature gorgeous colourful make-up by m.a.c's director of make-up artistry, terry barber and styling by lucia liu.

i-d's fashion director, charlotte stockdale styles 2 of the other covers, as well as jonathan kaye and sarah richardson. the theme of the issue is "whatever the weather" and will be on newsstands on the 9th of february.
