marchesa f/w 12.13 new york

the latest collection from marchesa was inspired by nineteenth century painter, adolphe bouguereau's,
"a soul bought to heaven", which was heavily seen with the feathers and lace embroidery used.
the palette was light and fluffy with blacks, reds and a hint of gold all playing a part. the sheer top
of some dresses had beautiful lace embroidery, including the finale gown, which had a
wrapped waist and looked like it came down from the heavens.
