jean paul gaultier haute couture paris s/s 2012

jean paul gaultier takes inspiration from the late amy winehouse in his latest haute couture collection. amy's signature beehive was present as was her sweeping eye make-up and distinct beauty mark. not only where the looks inspired by amy but there was also a musical tribute throughout the whole show, with four guys singing her classic songs.

the presentation was as tarty as always with colourful wigs and the models camping it up while they walked down the runway. the tailoring was magnificent as always with the amy inspired pencil skirts and the well made jackets. there where corsets, with help from london's mr.pearl, which looked like they could have been taken straight out of the 50's.

the show itself was what we have come to expect from gualiter, fun and flamboyancy that we couldn't find anywhere else.
