yiqing yan haute couture paris s/s 2012

a fairly new designer, yiqing yan shows why she deserves to be at haute couture fashion week. the young designer showed a very impressive collection, showcasing her ability to create unique and modern garments, in the times of repetitiveness. the pleats and cuts where a standout, with the draping also inspiring some incredibly beautiful dresses.

the colour palette deemed to be quite dark apart from near the end where the whites shined as some of the best. in the middle of it all was a somewhat a floor length gothic inspired dress with long sleeves and a sheer fabric, you could almost see helena bonham carter strutting her stuff on the ref carpet.

i hope to see more of the young designer, she definitely shined during haute couture.
